Privacy in the Sapiverse apps
This information supplements the Sapiverse Privacy Policy, which describes the controller, contact details, purposes, legal bases, rights and retention of service data.
The same account and content
The iOS and Android apps access Sapiverse through an encrypted connection. Your profile, study activities, progress, chats and shared content are associated with the same account used on the website. The device stores the technical information needed to keep you signed in and display pages.
Sign in with Google and Apple
You can use the available sign-in methods. With Google or Apple, we receive the information needed to identify the account, such as the identifier, email and name shared by the provider. Apple lets you hide your email. The apps do not receive your Google or Apple account password. Linking to an existing Sapiverse account requires access to that account.
Optional notifications
Notifications are activated by your choice and with device permission. We deliver them using Apple Push Notification service on iOS and Google’s Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android: the device token, an installation identifier, the platform and account preferences are processed.
Notifications concern essential account activities and, if enabled, new messages in Universe chats. Chat notifications may include the Universe name; they do not include message or attachment content. You can choose categories or turn off notifications in Sapiverse and device settings.
Technical records of completed deliveries are deleted after seven days and inactive device registrations after ninety days through periodic maintenance procedures. Logging out ends the session’s active association; a notification already delivered to the operating system may have been displayed before deactivation.
Files and permissions
Access to files, photos or the camera occurs when you choose to attach content, within system permission limits. Files downloaded for viewing may be temporarily stored on your device. The service does not require your location to study.
Payments and subscriptions
The website uses Stripe. For iOS in-app purchases managed by Apple, Apple processes the payment and Sapiverse verifies signed transactions and subscription status through Apple services. We process product and transaction identifiers, purchase and expiry dates, renewal or revocation status and an identifier linked to your Sapiverse account to activate access, restore purchases and manage renewals and refunds. Sapiverse does not receive the full details of the card used with Apple.
When a purchase is made through an alternative store payment program, the attribution identifiers and transaction information needed for reporting required by Apple or Google are used. Notices displayed before purchase explain who handles the payment.
Deleting your Sapiverse account does not cancel renewal of an Apple subscription: you can manage it in your Apple account’s subscription settings. Deletion removes the link to your Sapiverse profile; purchase records needed to manage transactions remain subject to the retention criteria in the full privacy notice.
Cancellation and support
You can delete your account from Settings or the website, even without the app. For information or to exercise your rights, email support@sapiverse.com. Providers and any international transfers are described in the full privacy notice and their applicable notices.
